A New Ambulance is Saving Lives in Kenya

In rural Kenya, Sister Lydia and the Sisters at Immaculate Heart Hospital Kereita (the only medical facility within 30 miles) once faced a heartbreaking reality when a young mother in labor had no safe way to reach the hospital. She relied on a taxi. She didn’t make it.
Determined that no more lives be lost this way, the Sisters turned to Sisters Rising Worldwide. Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, their fully operational ambulance was recently delivered, and the impact is already saving lives.
Sister Lydia shares that just days ago the ambulance rushed a woman from a remote village to the hospital during labor complications. She delivered a healthy baby under skilled care. Both mother and child are thriving. The next day, the ambulance transported a newborn needing advanced care to a neonatal unit, saving the baby’s life.
Watch below as the Sisters at Immaculate Heart Hospital celebrate the arrival of their new ambulance.
Thank you for empowering Sisters around the world to serve with courage, dignity, and joy!
